The Rochester Americans are just under one week away from opening the team’s 58th season in the American Hockey League. The farm club of the Buffalo Sabres will open the 2013-2014 season by hosting the Grand Rapids Griffins, farm club of the Detroit Red Wings, on Friday, October 4.
