In game two of two against the Anaheim Ducks, the Buffalo Sabres are looking to prevent what happened last time. Not just from the last time they played the Ducks, basically the whole season.

Buffalo looks to avenge the 5-1 loss at the hands of Anaheim that came on a weird 3 p.m. game just last week. In this game, we saw a Buffalo Sabres team look like a Tim Hortons TimBits hockey club. Let’s be honest, Buffalo was in rough shape, and it hasn’t gotten much better.

Currently standing at 1-5-0, good enough for only two points, Buffalo is proving that everyone in the hockey world was right, embracing the tank was the game plan all along. They are facing a powerhouse 5-1-0 Anaheim Ducks, who lead the Pacific Division and are tied with the Nashville Predators for the Western Conference lead with 10 points.

If you are brave and loyal enough, MSG-B and Bell TV holds the broadcast to tonights game against the Ducks for Western New Yorkers and our Canadian fan viewers. They are mirrored by Prime TV, California’s broadcaster for the Ducks games.

On the radio side, WGR 550 has the live stream all day, from talk show to coverage

Side note: Tonights game will be the Hockey Fights Cancer, presented by Loma Linda University Cancer Center. Tonight’s game will try and raise more awareness for the center, which the color lavender will be very present. Lavender is the color that represents all types of cancer.

In today’s day and age of smart phones, there are plenty of apps that can be downloaded to you android or iPhone to enjoy everything that is hockey.

Both teams feature an official team app that offers breaking news and up to date scores along with information about the teams. Just enter the app store or Google Play and download them now! Both stores also offer the NHL GameCenter app that offers total league news and updates on any and all of your favorite teams throughout the league.

The Sabres face some steep odds tonight, in the last 26 games they have played, Buffalo has just one regulation win. Going along with only 11 regulation wins since the start of the 2013-14 season, Buffalo faces a hard uphill battle, trying to correct themselves. Putting it into perspective, literally 50% of the past 22 wins, counting last season and this one, have come from the extra time in overtime or the shootout.

Considering we even make it to the extra time and we haven’t yet blown another lead late in the game, that would be a decent statistic. If you take away the one win from this season, it only drops to roughly 47.6% of wins have come with the extra period, only losing 10 times last season in OT/SO.

While it hasn’t been confirmed if either Michal Neuvirth or Jhonas Enroth gets looked at in between the pipes tonight, but with the recent trade talk (speculation or not) of Tyler Myers, is it time that we see a different player in Myers, worthy enough to try and help Buffalo get over .500? With his current ice time being well over any other Sabre, what is in stock for the defenseman? What is going to happen with Samson Reinhart after the next 3-4 games we see him in? Will Nikita Zadorov ever get a chance to prove that he is defender that we need and deserve to have playing?

Hoepfully Buffalo puts an end to the current two-game shutout streak not in their favor, turns this season around before it gets out of hand any worse.

On the plus side, Buffalo gets a look at McDavid a whole year early.
