Another sixty plus minute game for the Buffalo Sabres, and nothing more than a point in the standings. Thankfully for the Buffalo Sabres, if they are solely trying to tank and make it look respectful; they are still in last place in the Eastern Conference, and one point worse than Edmonton out West.
Buffalo played one of the best games of the year so far, falling behind to come back quickly to tie things up, and a very disgusted Michal Neuvirth at the end of the shootout, knowing he could have kept the Buffalo Sabres alive – something he did quite often during the game, in fact he made one hell of a save late in the game to make sure that the game would even make it as far as the shootout. Another loss, another day closer to the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
There was a lot of red in the audience tonight at the First Niagara Center – hoping that the Montreal Canadiens would break the streak and get back on their winning ways. Well they got their wish, but probably not in the way one would have really hoped.
