Despite public confidence from front office, the Buffalo Sabres have options if they decide to move on from Dan Bylsma.
The Buffalo Sabres have been seeking answers after the disappointing season that just transpired. As many teams tend to do, the eyes of the media and fans turn to the head coach when things go wrong.
Que the rumors that the Buffalo Sabres may look to move on from Dan Bylsma, but Paul Hamilton says this does not seem to be the case.
Despite many believing Dan Bylsma is not going anywhere, it still has not got many thinking that this may be the best time to make a change thanks to many coaches being let go over the past few days.
The first name many people jumped on is former Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff. Ruff is no longer with the Dallas Stars after a season that saw them finish 24th in the NHL.
What would Lindy Ruff add to the Buffalo Sabres? Many people like this move simply for nostalgia, and a love and respect for a man who spent so many years with the Sabres franchise.
Lindy is available now, but a move to Buffalo may not make sense considering the team cleaned house to move away from the past, but also more pressure may be on Lindy if he returned then any other coach who would come in.

The other name that excited fans is Darryl Sutter, which is not hard to do with two Stanley Cup rings.
L.A clearly holds the success of the team highly, as missing the playoffs this season was not an option leading to his firing.
Another factor to look into with Sutter is the development with younger players, which of course is the majority of the Sabres roster.
Sutter is not often associated with developing young talents to their top potential, which would be the deciding factor to keep him away from Buffalo.
In just a few days there is now vacant coaching jobs in Dallas, Vancouver, L.A, Florida, Long Island, and Vegas with the potential of more teams making moves.
