The Buffalo Sabres are on a two game winning streak as they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight. As the joy seems to be flowing, here’s some bold predictions for the game!

The Buffalo Sabres are coming off two impressive victories over the course of this week. They made a 5-4 comeback win against the Vancouver Canucks, and just yesterday shut out the Detroit Red Wings 1-0.

The positive vibes are flowing a little more in Buffalo, and there is no reason to believe that those will stop tonight against the Blue Jackets.

More from Sabres News

The Blue Jackets boast one of the best goaltenders in the league in Sergei Bobrovsky, and he is no easy task to handle, but here’s a bold prediction for tonight. The offense for Buffalo seems to be clicking a little better with their passing, and they seem to be communicating very well the last couple games. I think that Kyle Okposo will break out of his shell tonight, and it will be courtesy of Jack Eichel and his nifty hands.

Sam Reinhart has been noticeably good the last number of games. His point production is not what many fans are wanting from him, but he is doing the little things while also being a creative force for the offense. Many times he is making passes to great areas of the offensive zone, but the end result sadly is not a goal quite yet.

My second bold prediction is that Sam Reinhart will have at least a two point night, with one of those points coming from the power play. He has been a solid player all around, and he is bound to be rewarded for his creativity and hard work.

The defense for Buffalo has been very quiet offensively. With a total of zero goals scored by them, it does not seem likely that the Buffalo Sabres defense is living up to coach Housley’s expectations. This is a coach that preaches his defenders to jump into the play to create offense, so here’s my third bold prediction.

One of the Sabres defensemen will score a goal tonight, and I’m not going to pick the seemingly obvious choice. My pick for the goal is going to be newcomer defenseman Marco Scandella. He has been making chances happen for the offense very well, and I think he will be rewarded with a goal in tonight’s game.
