The Buffalo Sabres bounced back from a 5-1 loss against the Sharks to stomp the LA Kings by the same exact score. Jeff Skinner led the way with a hat trick.

The Buffalo Sabres laid down a definitive beating of the Los Angeles Kings by a score of 5-1. Those Sabres fans with a decent memory will remember that only a couple of days ago, they lost to the San Jose Sharks by the same exact score. With this win today, the Sabres improve to 4-4-0 and continue to prove that they are eager to win games.

Today’s game was up in their air for a lot of Sabres fans as the lines were shuffled around by coach Phil Housley. The uncertainty of how well the players would mesh with their new line mates had a lot of people on edge, but the end result was a successful one.

The noticeable success of Jeff Skinner was something that blossomed into a hard working hat trick. His chemistry with his new line mates of Jack Eichel and Jason Pominville was a refreshing breath of fresh air. From the moment Skinner was traded to Buffalo, Sabres fans have been chomping at the bit to see his scoring touch in full swing; those fans were not disappointed today in any way.

Linus Ullmark got his second start of the season and was a rock solid wall for the entire game yet again. Though he was bested in the third period by a laser shot of Drew Doughty, Ullmark was the backbone of the Buffalo Sabres win today. For the final four minutes of the game, the Kings threw an onslaught of pressure and shots towards the young net minder, but he stood tall and strong to emerge with a victory.

A game like this is something for Buffalo Sabres fans to celebrate and enjoy. Enjoy the positives and hope that this team rides this victory into Anaheim tomorrow evening.
