Buffalo Sabres Reverse Retro jersey schedule released
The Buffalo Sabres announced their Reverse Retro schedule for the 2021 season. All the teams in the NHL released a Reverse Retro jersey for this season. They are supposed to be a nod to the team’s history with a modern spin.
The games that Buffalo will rock their new Reverse Retro jerseys goes as follows:
February 11th vs. Washington Capitals
February 13th vs. Washington Capitals
February 20th at New Jersey Devils
February 22nd at New Jersey Devils
February 26th vs. Philadelphia Flyers
March 11th vs. Pittsburgh Penguins
So we will have six opportunities to watch the Sabres showcase these new jerseys. The Reverse Retro jerseys will be the third new jersey that Buffalo plays in this season as they revamped their primary home and away sweaters going into this season.
We have grown accustomed to the Sabres having an alternate third jersey they wear numerous times throughout a season, as last year they had the 50th-anniversary jerseys. The new Reverse Retro jersey will replace last year’s 50th-anniversary jersey as the Sabres primary alternate jersey.
The new royal blue and yellow jerseys that the Sabres switched to this year have been received very well by the fan base. The “Return to Royal” movement paid off, and Buffalo did not let their fans down when they released the new jersey designs to the public this past offseason.
All of the Reverse Retro jerseys were released this offseason. Most of them have been received well by fans, but few were not as well-liked as the rest. Luckily for Sabres fans, Buffalo’s jerseys came out great. The old goat head logo on the shoulders and the crossed swords logo on the chest look incredible.
Make sure not to miss any of these six Reverse Retro games for Buffalo. And if they play well with them, I am all for adding them to the regular rotation of jerseys for the Sabres.
