The Buffalo Sabres will look to end their four-game losing streak tonight when they face off against the New York Islanders on Long Island. It has been over a week since Buffalo secured their last win, and their schedule does not present them with many quality opportunities for an easy win.

The Sabres have played the Islanders three times so far this season, losing all three games. New York has outscored Buffalo 9-3 throughout those three matchups. This has proven to be a tough matchup for the Sabres so far this year.

It also does not make it any easier with how good the Islanders have been defending their home ice. They have a record of 7-0-2 when playing inside Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum this season. The Sabres play their next three games there, so they will have their work cut out for them.

Buffalo needs to carry over some of the positives from their last game to have a chance tonight. Especially the quality play from Dylan Cozens. Despite not having a goal last game, he had the most impact play of the night when he dropped the gloves in the third period to get the team going. He has been very impressive for the Sabres so far this season.

The expected starting goalies are Carter Hutton for Buffalo and Semyon Varlamov for New York.
