If anyone is still interested, the Buffalo Sabres will play a hockey game today. The Sabres will try and end their current winless streak, which sits at 16 games. Buffalo will be taking on the Boston Bruins this afternoon in Boston.

The Sabres are coming off yet another game being shut out as they lost 4-0 on Thursday night to the Penguins. Buffalo has now been shut out seven times this season, and they only have six wins. An incredible stat to have 32 games into a season.

Buffalo is coming into this game averaging the least amount of goals per game in the entire NHL. The Sabres currently sit at 2.0 goals per game. They also rank 29th in the league in goals allowed, with 3.53 goals allowed per game.

After missing Buffalo’s last game due to quarantine, interim head coach Don Granato will be back on the bench today against the Bruins. Interim assistant head coach Matt Ellis will also be back with the team after he and Granato cleared COVID protocol yesterday.

This matchup between the Bruins and Sabres will only be the second time these teams have faced each other this season. There have been three instances where the Sabres had to postpone games against the Bruins this year. Boston one their only previous matchup, 4-1.
