Can the Sabres finally close out a game with a win tonight?

The Buffalo Sabres came the closest they have come to a win in a long time in their last game. But in very Sabres fashion, they could not finish the game with a win. They have another opportunity to end their now 18-game winless streak tonight.

Buffalo takes on the Philadelphia Flyers again tonight. The Sabres probably played their best first 40 minutes in over a month in their last game against the Flyers, which was on Monday. Buffalo was up 3-0 after the first two periods but could not hold the lead. They eventually fell 4-3 in overtime.

Dylan Cozens left the game on Monday after suffering what looked like an upper-body injury after taking a hit into the boards in the first period. Cozens just recently came back from another injury he sustained on a hit, so he seems to be having a tough time staying healthy as of late, which is bad news for Buffalo.

Although the game ended disastrously on Monday, it showed that the Sabres could compete when they put it all together. Only time will tell if they can focus on the positives from their last game or if any momentum they could have gained was destroyed by not getting the win.
