The Buffalo Sabres will take on the Washington Capitals tonight at KeyBank Center in Buffalo. This is the second time there will be fans in Buffalo for a Sabres home game this season, and the team has a chance to keep a very specific and small streak alive today.

Buffalo one their first and only game in front of a hometown crowd this season. This happened on Saturday, April 3rd, when the Sabres defeated the Rangers in a shootout. So up to this point, the Sabres are undefeated at home in front of fans. And they will hope to keep this streak alive tonight.

The Sabres had their five-game points streak snapped last night by the Devils in a 6 to 3 loss. It will be challenging for Buffalo to get back on track tonight, as they have struggled this season against the Capitals. The Sabres are just 1-4-1 against Washington so far this season.

With the trade deadline getting closer and closer, Taylor Hall will be a healthy scratch once again. Expect to see trade talks pick up surrounding Hall as the deadline is just three days away. And it seems that Carter Hutton is not ready to return as Dustin Tokarski gets the start in this second game of a back-to-back for Buffalo.
