After coming off a six-goal performance on Friday night, the Buffalo Sabres will look to keep up the high-powered offense tonight in the Big Apple against the New York Rangers. The Sabres are 2-2-2 against the Rangers so far this season.

After making 36 saves on 40 shots on Friday, rookie goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen will not be the starting goalie tonight. According to Don Granato, Dustin Tokarski will get the start tonight in New York. It seems that Luukkonen may get another opportunity to start for Buffalo on Tuesday night when they take on the Rangers for the final time this season.

Buffalo had four different players score at least one goal on Friday night. Casey Mittelstadt scored to keep his stretch of productive play going. Sam Reinhart tallied a hat trick, and Rasmus Dahlin and Arttu Ruotsalainen added a goal each.

The Rangers are coming into this matchup winning five of their last seven games. They currently sit at fifth in the East Division standings, just one spot out of that final playoff spot from the east. They are six points behind the Bruins for the fourth seed, and with less than a month left in the season, they cannot afford to lose many more games.
