Sabres vs Canadiens: Date, Time, Streaming, More

We made it! We finally made it through the offseason and opening night is finally upon us. The Buffalo Sabres will take the ice tonight for their first game of the regular season against the Montreal Canadiens.

The Sabres are entering yet another rebuilding year, so it may not be pretty at times. But there are a handful of exciting young players in Buffalo that should keep fans tuning in for every game. Players like Dylan Cozens, Casey Mittelstadt, and Rasmus Dahlin are key pieces to the young core that the Sabres have in place.

The team looked much more watchable after Don Granato took over as interim head coach partway through last season. So it will be interesting to see if the Sabres can keep that same energy and style we saw at the end of last year. But with some key players no longer on the team and a lot of new faces in Buffalo, chemistry could be an issue at the start of the season.

Craig Anderson will make his regular-season Sabres debut tonight in net. Dustin Tokarski will be the backup as he beat out Aaron Dell for that role in the preseason.
