Sabres vs Coyotes: Date, Time, TV, Streaming, More

The Buffalo Sabres will look to start the season with back-to-back wins today as they take on the Arizona Coyotes. Puck drop is scheduled for 1 pm inside the KeyBank Center in Buffalo.

The Sabres are coming off a dominant 5-1 victory on opening night against the Montreal Canadiens. So this will be a good test to see if they can build off the momentum they have from Thursday night. On the flip side, Arizona is coming off a very rough showing against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Coyotes lost 8-2 on Thursday, so they will be determined to have a better showing today.

Buffalo will be without a couple of starters for an extended period, which is a tough blow after such a successful first game. Both Casey Mittelstadt (upper-body injury) and Henri Jokiharju (lower-body injury) will miss multiple weeks. So Don Granato will have to do some early-season roster shuffling to fill the holes left by these injuries.

The expected starting goalie matchup is an interesting one for today. Dustin Tokarski is expected to make his first start of the season for Buffalo, and former Sabre Carter Hutton is expected to get the start for Arizona.
