The Buffalo Sabres will face off with easily the best team they have all season tonight as they take on the Boston Bruins in Buffalo. The Bruins enter tonight’s game with a record of 1-1-0. Buffalo is one of the handful of teams that have not suffered a loss so far at the start of this season, and they will look to extend their undefeated start to the season to four games tonight.

The Sabres will face some familiar names during tonight’s game. Former Buffalo goalie Linus Ullmark is set to make his regular-season debut for the Bruins tonight. This will be the first different team that Ullmark has played for since entering the league in 2015.

A less popular former Sabre that we will see tonight is Taylor Hall. Hall played in a handful of games last year for the Sabres after signing a one-year contract the offseason prior. Hall scored two goals in 37 games in Buffalo before forcing a trade to Boston, where he scored eight goals in 16 games. This will be the first time a normal crowd of fans will be in the stadium to see Hall since he left Buffalo, and I’m sure the Buffalo faithful will let Hall know how they feel about his stint as a Sabre.

Craig Anderson will be in net for the Sabres tonight, and he has had an incredible start to the season. Through two games played, he has allowed only three goals on 65 shots. That amounts to a save percentage of .954% and a 1.50 goals allowed average. The Sabres will need Anderson to keep up his hot start to the season tonight if they hope to take down the Bruins.
