The Buffalo Sabres suffered their first loss of the season last night to the Boston Bruins. Although the score was 4-1, the Sabres played tough. But the Bruins star power shined and capitalized on fewer shots and former Sabres goalie Linus Ullmark shined in his return to Buffalo. But Buffalo has a chance to get back on track tonight as they take on the New Jersey Devils on the road.

This will be another great test for a very young Sabres team. The Devils are a tough opponent and getting wins on the road is always difficult. This will also be the first back-to-back of the year for Buffalo, so the team’s conditioning will surely be put to the test tonight.

As Craig Anderson played last night in goal, it would not come as a surprise if Dustin Tokarski made his second start of the year for Buffalo. Tokarski has played in one game so far, and that was a 2-1 shootout victory over the Arizona Coyotes. Tokarski stopped 20 of 21 shots in regulation and overtime, so a strong showing for the backup goalie in his first game of the season.
