The Buffalo Sabres continue their season with a homestand in four of their next five games before they end the month on a road trip.

The Buffalo Sabres return to the ice following the All-Star Break in which defenseman Rasmus Dahlin put on quite a show. The Sabres, 14-24-7, are in for another long season. But in their next slate of games, they may break the .500 mark as they face some of the NHL’s weaker teams.

The Columbus Blue Jackets enter the season’s second half at 21-22-1, and the Montreal Canadians are embarking on a full-scale rebuild. So the Sabres have some hope to narrow the win-loss gap between February 10th and February 19th.

Can they create a turnaround as the NHL Trade Deadline looms? If so, they may not ultimately become sellers. And this week’s slate of games will be the first determinant in what general manager Kevyn Adams and company decide to do. Here are three bold predictions.
