Rasmus Dahlin has played impressive hockey for the Buffalo Sabres this season. But he’s not the only defenseman with a bright future with the franchise.

Dahlin has made all the right moves in 2021-22, and he’s garnered positive vibes throughout the Buffalo Sabres faithful. Dahlin has been so good, there are at least three other overlooked Sabres defensemen who have generated either respectable production or have forged an identity for themselves.

They have also carved out a niche in one of the team’s defensive pairings, whether they’re on the first with Dahlin, or proving their worth on the lower lines. And best yet, they’re all in their early-to-mid twenties and they can solidify themselves as part of the team’s budding nucleus for at least the next half-decade.

So, which Buffalo Sabres defensemen are continually making names for themselves in various roles? Here are three candidates that may become household names.
