There are still some free agents that are available for the Buffalo Sabres. Here are a few names they could sign and help the team.

We are in full force when it comes to free agency in the NHL. Believe it or not, there are still some big names on the market that the Buffalo Sabres can sign.

There are a few names that caught my eye for the team to sign. In this article, we’re going to take a look at those players who are available that could help out the team. Each of the following players will come with a big of a price tag, but the Sabres do have the cap space to pursue them if they so choose to.

Five available free agents the Buffalo Sabres can still target – Nazem Kadri

Nazem Kadri is the first player who is still available. Personally, I don’t think the Sabres will sign him but that doesn’t mean he would be a good signing for the team. Even though Buffalo has the money to sign a good player like Kadri, I believe he wants money that would be out of Buffalo’s price range.

Two experienced defensemen remaining in Klingberg and Subban

Another name that the Sabres could sign is defenseman John Klingberg. He’s a right handed shot defenseman which is what kind of defenseman Buffalo needs. He’s only 29 as well and would be a solid addition to the Sabres blue line.

Another right handed shot defenseman that is available is P.K. Subban. Some fans are hesitant on signing Subban because it seems like he’s not the same player he was with Montreal and Nashville but honestly, he could be a good signing for Buffalo. He’s a veteran who the Sabres currently have the cap space to sign.

Don’t be surprised if the Sabres go after this free agent…

This might be a surprising name but Sonny Milano would be a nice add for the Buffalo Sabres. He could play a role on Buffalo’s second or third line. At 26 years old, he scored 14 goals and registered 20 assists in 66 games played with Anaheim last year.

Obviously there are more players who are available but when it comes to helping the Sabres right now, these players that I mentioned are the ones that should be highly considered for Buffalo. We’ll see what happens as free agency goes on but I don’t think the Sabres are done adding players just yet.
