Must-Draft Player: Rasmus Dahlin, D/Ranked 100

2021-22 Statistics: 80 games, 13 goals, 40 assists, 53 points, 170 shots on goal, +/- (-22), 91 blocks, 21 power play points, 1 shorthanded point

If there is one player on the Buffalo Sabres you must draft later on, it is Rasmus Dahlin. As mentioned earlier, Dahlin is the highest-ranked Sabre on this list and odds are, he will be available between Rounds 8 and 9 in your fantasy hockey draft if you play in a 12-team league.

However, Dahlin, given his giant leap last season, is that one player who I would say if you’re going to reach for someone, reach for him. His production improved tremendously along with the rest of the Sabres in March and April 2022. And that came after he played in his first All-Star Game.

One not-so bold prediction is that Dahlin will hit the 20-goal mark and he could threaten between 45 and 50 assists, placing him in the 65-70-point range. He is also a player you can rely on with blocks, having secured 91 of them last season.
