Buffalo Sabres Preseason

The Buffalo Sabres will also open training camp and the preseason in September and it gives us an early look of what they will do with this influx of talent and mixture of a few seasoned veterans on the roster. While there is a lot we know about how the Sabres lines will look like, there is also a lot we don’t know.

For example, we know Jeff Skinner and Tage Thompson will start the season on the top line. We also know either Alex Tuch or Victor Olofsson will man the right wing spot on either the first or second lines.

But we know little else and can only deal with projections. Will Peyton Krebs play left wing on the second line? Or will he play center on the fourth? Will J.J. Peterka and Jack Quinn play on the middle six, or will one of them start the season as a fourth liner? Will they even start the season on the Sabres roster?

Despite more clarity heading into the 2022-23 season, we still have a few more questions than answers regarding the lineup. But we will get more answers as preseason progresses.
