We are 14 games into the 2022-23 NHL Season and the Buffalo Sabres have seen the good, bad, and ugly, with a 7-7-0 record.

The Buffalo Sabres have ridden the highest of highs and the lowest of lows so far in this young 2022 NHL Season. Now, they are playing a team that has arguably been the biggest thorn in their side for at least a half-decade in the Boston Bruins.

The Sabres, who have faced a plethora of issues lately that include spotty goaltending, patchwork defensive pairings, and unnecessary shuffling at forward, are unsurprisingly riding a four-game losing streak. I say unsurprisingly because a young team like Buffalo facing so many issues mentioned above are going to have a hard time beating anyone.

Now Sabres head coach Don Granato appears to have at least gone back to the basics, does it mean the Sabres will have a chance to beat the Bruins? Keep reading for the odds.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Bruins – Prediction

If there is any good news for tonight’s contest, it is that head coach Don Granato looks to be returning to the simple route, meaning the lineup should look rather familiar. This will go a long way in keeping the team competitive tonight, and if their top scoring lines can drive the puck toward the net, something they struggled with lately, it could work wonders for this team in tonight’s outing.

If the Sabres can give themselves good looks and take advantage of rebounds, they will win this contest. And with a return to simplicity, I am predicting what no one else is: That the Sabres will win this outing 4-3 in overtime. While it might be bold, I have no doubt this team can overcome its latest bout of adversity.
