The Buffalo Sabres snapped their eight-game losing streak in dramatic fashion last night against the Montreal Canadiens with a 7-2 win.

The Buffalo Sabres needed that big win over Montreal last night, and it couldn’t have happened at a better time, as the team will throw back to the 1990s against the St. Louis Blues. Donning the black goathead jerseys for this one, the Sabres will attempt to channel their late 1990s vibes and come up with their second victory in a row.

But is it likely? Let’s check out the odds for this one before I predict what will happen.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Blues – Odds

Per Fan Duel, the Buffalo Sabres are -0.5 point favorites at home against the St. Louis Blues. The Over/Under is 6.5, and the Sabres moneyline, however, is at +125. The Blues moneyline is -150.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Blues – Prediction

While the Sabres just snapped an eight-game losing streak and are riding high with momentum, they will be tasked with silencing a surging Blues team that has won their last seven outings. The Blues, who started off the season 3-8-0, have averaged 4.28 goals per game and have allowed just 2.0 over their last seven contests.

I want to say the Sabres win this one, but on a back-to-back, it’s going to be a tough task. Perhaps the goathead uniform may serve as a good omen, but other than that, it’s going to be hard to stop this resurgent Blues team.

My projection is that the Sabres resemble the team on the eight-game losing streak tonight as opposed to the team that started 7-3-0. And while my bold predictions for the week said otherwise, my logical prediction says the Sabres lose this one, 5-2.

Hot. 3 reasons the Buffalo ended their eight-game skid. light

They proved they could play better hockey in last night’s win over Montreal, but they are also just 2-8-0 in November. A tough task for any young team that has ended up on the losing end of games to go against what is one of the hottest teams in hockey.
