The Buffalo Sabres pulled off a remarkable upset just two days ago against Colorado for their second straight win. Will they keep the streak alive?

The Buffalo Sabres are finally around 0.500 in points as they continue to recover from their infamous eight-game losing streak last month. One team that beat them early in the streak? The Arizona Coyotes.

Since the Coyotes beat the Sabres in November, they have become the team falling on hard times with a record of 4-8-3 (11 points), while the Sabres are 7-8-2 (16 points). As it currently stands, Buffalo is the hotter team. But what do the odds say?

Buffalo Sabres vs. Coyotes Odds – Game 31

Per Fan Duel, the Buffalo Sabres are -1.5 favorites on the road against the Coyotes. The Over/Under is 6.5, and the Sabres moneyline is -172. The Coyotes moneyline is +142.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Coyotes Prediction – Game 31

The Coyotes are among the NHL’s worst teams, scoring just 79 goals this season, which ranks 28th in the NHL. This could make life easier for the Sabres spotty defensive play and goaltending. Meanwhile, Arizona’s 103 goals against is 22nd in the league, not what you want when you play a team like the Sabres, whose 119 goals lead the NHL.

The Sabres have allowed more goals than the Coyotes, but at 105 allowed, it’s a smaller dent than you may realize, and they rank just one slot behind Arizona at #23. Therefore, this game, on paper, tilts heavily in Buffalo’s favor.

While Arizona has beaten more talented teams this season, including a 4-1 win against the Sabres, Buffalo is just too hot of a team right now. Look for the Blue and Gold to return to over 0.500 column tonight with a big win on the campus of Arizona State University.

And that win will give Buffalo plenty of momentum as they head into the Mojave desert for a game against the Vegas Golden Knights. A team that embarrassed them earlier this year.
