The Buffalo Sabres seek to avenge their loss to the Golden Knights from earlier this season to conclude a Western Conference road trip.
The Buffalo Sabres are enjoying a three-game winning streak, but the Vegas Golden Knights would like nothing more than to put an end to it. However, the Blue and Gold are enjoying a 15-4 run, and are facing a Vegas team that just lost 5-2 to the New York Islanders.
So can the Sabres keep the streak going tonight? Let’s check out some odds before we make an ultimate prediction.
Buffalo Sabres vs. Golden Knights Odds – Game 32
Per Fan Duel, the Buffalo Sabres are +1.5 underdogs to the Golden Knights. The Over/Under sits at 6.5, and the Sabres moneyline is +146. The Golden Knights moneyline is -176.
Buffalo Sabres vs. Golden Knights Prediction – Game 32
The Sabres are going to average four goals per game until opponents prove they can stop them. And that is easier said than done at the moment, as it seems like the Blue and Gold have garnered a system that is starting to continually allow for smarter shots closer to the net.
This isn’t the same Buffalo Sabres team the Golden Knights faced in November. That team was still forging its identity. Fast-forward a little over 30 days, and that identity as a high-octane team is solidifying.
In my bold predictions for Week 10 piece, I stated the Sabres would defeat the Knights, and that’s exactly what will happen in this evening’s matchup. With the Knights potentially missing Jack Eichel, it already diminishes their chances to keep up with the high-scoring Sabres.
Not that the Knights won’t find the back of the net multiple times, but when you aren’t at full strength against these Buffalo Sabres, you will have a tough time winning anything. This is a case where the Blue and Gold will outscore Vegas by a score of 5-4. Look for this one to go right down to the wire.
