The Buffalo Sabres have a huge opportunity to bounce back following their 4-0 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Can they get it done?

The Buffalo Sabres have an opportunity to strike down the Seattle Kraken just 24 hours after their biggest meltdown of the season. When I wrote my bold predictions for the week piece, I had a hunch something like this would happen, so that projection could very well become a reality.

But it won’t be easy, considering the Kraken haven’t just become one of the NHL’s best teams; they are also riding a five game winning streak. This team has also put up 143 goals, so like the Sabres, they can score at will.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Kraken Odds – Game 39

Per Fan Duel, the Buffalo Sabres are -1.5 point favorites at home against the Kraken. The Over/Under is 6.5, and the Sabres have a -113 moneyline. The Kraken’s moneyline is -106.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Kraken Prediction – Game 39

The Buffalo Sabres are going to be skating into this one looking to prove they are better than they played last night. And that could strike a chord against Seattle, but as a high scoring team themselves, look for the Kraken to skate into the KeyBank Center doing what they do best.

This one has the potential to become a high-scoring affair, and it’s logical to predict the final score becoming something like 6-5. So who wins this thing? I’m going with the Sabres, who have recently made it a habit to upset superior opponents and teams who are roughly evenly matched with them.

Look for the Sabres to get back on track tonight, and that will give them a slew of momentum as they head into the busiest portion of their schedule. A win tonight would also give the Blue and Gold their first victory over the Kraken in franchise history. Let’s see if they can take it tonight.
