Devon Levi will be making his NHL debut against the New York Rangers on Friday night. What do fans of the Buffalo Sabres think about this?

Tomorrow is the day! The Buffalo Sabres will be hosting the New York Rangers tomorrow night, and this game has a lot of excitement! That’s because Devon Levi will not only be making his Buffalo Sabres debut, but his NHL debut as well.

A couple of weeks ago, the Sabres signed Levi to an entry-level contract. Buffalo acquired Levi in the Sam Reinhart deal a couple of seasons ago and tomorrow night, he will be making his long awaited debut. I asked on Twitter as well as our official Twitter account what fans thought about him playing one of the best teams in the NHL.

When the question was asked, it was split. Levi will be going up against one of the best teams in the NHL. The Rangers will pose a big challenge and with where the Sabres are currently, why not see how he does? It will be interesting to see how he plays against a very good Rangers team.

Buffalo is still in the playoff race and even though some fans are hesitant with sending him out there with the defense in front of him, why not see what he has? After all, this season was about development, so let’s keep it going.

Yes it might be a bit early and dangerous sending him out there against a very good opponent but again, why not? It could backfire or it could be a great plan. We will see what happens on Friday.

This is my favorite reply and why I am wrapping up with this one. I am glad someone said the last part. We cannot judge Levi after a start. However, I am begging Sabres fans to not say bad things about him if he doesn’t perform well.

Knowing sports fans, I am sure there will be some fans who are going to overreact if he doesn’t have a good game. But let’s keep in mind, the Sabres defense has not performed well all season. But let’s just see how he does, I am very excited to see him tomorrow night.
