Buffalo Sabres: Bold predictions for the 25th and final week
With it being the final week of the regular season, it’s time to get bold. Here are a few bold predictions for the Buffalo Sabres.
With it being the final week of the regular season, I think it’s time to get bold. In this article, I’m going to give you a few predictions about the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres have only three games left so why not fit this article in before the end of the season? Enough talk, let’s get started!
My first prediction, Tage Thompson gets 50 goals. At this current moment, Tage has 46 on the season. Even though he has three games left to achieve this feat, it is definitely possible since he has proven he can score multiple goals in a game. Even though he is not on his usual line, he can still reach 50.
He is on a line with Dylan Cozens and Jordan Greenway, plus when Buffalo is on the power play, you know the Sabres will look for him with that great shot he has.
My next prediction also features Tage. I think he will finish the season with 100 points. At this moment, he has 93 points. We already talked about how good he is and how he can go off in an instant. Getting seven points in three games is tough but if you’re an elite player like Tage is, anything is possible.
Tage Thompson, points total highlight Buffalo Sabres bold predictions
Prediction number three is the Sabres finish the season with at least 90 points. Buffalo has 87 right now so it might not be bold but they will need to earn two points in every game at this point of the season.
No, 90 points won’t be good enough to make the playoffs but if they do get there, it’s a huge accomplishment. Buffalo has not gotten in the 90’s when it comes to points since 2010-2011 when they finished with 96 points.
My last prediction is Devon Levi will play in two of the last three games. It’s pretty clear that the Sabres believe in Levi and why not play him more? He is 4-1-0 with a goals against average of 2.89 and a save percentage of .908. Levi has been amazing since being signed so why not play him for the rest of the season?
