The Buffalo Sabres season ends tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Will they finish the season with a big win and go into the summer with momentum?

Have you ever watched a season finale that had your adrenaline pumping at the end and you couldn’t wait to see what came next? That’s how the Buffalo Sabres final game of the 2022-23 season against the Columbus Blue Jackets feels.

And like most of us who live in the northern part of the US, we don’t want to rush our way through summer as there are still a lot of cool things to do during the hottest and longest days of the year, but I think we’ll be asking, “Is it October yet?” quite a bit. Why? Because there’s not a single Sabres fan out there who isn’t excited for 2023-24, and tonight’s game can end an exciting 2022-23 on that adrenaline-infused note.

So can the Sabres win this evening against a team they put up nine goals against earlier this year? Let’s check the odds and make a prediction.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Blue Jackets Odds – Game 82

Per Fan Duel, the Buffalo Sabres are -1.5 favorites on the road against the Blue Jackets. The Over/Under is 6.5, and the Sabres moneyline is -178. The Blue Jackets moneyline is +146.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Blue Jackets Prediction – Game 82

The Blue and Gold have won a game and lost a game this season to Columbus, and many point to their loss earlier this year at the KeyBank Center on February 28th as to what started that slump that lasted for three weeks in March. But tonight, given their outstanding road record, my prediction is that they end the season with a W.

Buffalo won’t score nine goals, and therefore, won’t hit the 300-goal mark we’d love to see from them. But a win is a win, and they will officially break past the 50% total in the W column tonight.
