Why will Dylan Cozens will score at least 40 goals in this upcoming season with the Buffalo Sabres? Let’s make the case for him to enjoy a monster campaign.
Dylan Cozens had an awesome breakout season last year with the Buffalo Sabres, which put him fifth on the team in points with 68. In 81 games played, he scored 31 goals and registered 37 assists. Because of his play, Cozens earned himself a contract extension with the Blue and Gold.
Not only do the Sabres have two of their best centers locked up for the foreseeable future but they also have talent built around them. Cozens found great chemistry with Jack Quinn and JJ Peterka. As a result, they became known as The Kid Line.
Looking forward to this season, I think Dylan Cozens will reach at least 40 goals. Looking at his first three seasons, his numbers got better and better. Flashing back to the 2020-2021 season, he played 41 games where he scored just four goals and registered nine assists.
Buffalo Sabres forward Dylan Cozens can have a breakout season in 2023-24
In 2021-22, he scored 13 goals and recorded 25 assists in 79 games played. The best part, he’s just going to continue on getting better. Why do I think he’ll get 40 goals? The talent around him is perfect for a player like Dylan.
Unfortunately, Jack Quinn will be out for the first couple of months, but Cozens will still be on a solid line. The jump he took last year was awesome to see and that’s why I think he’s definitely capable of reaching the 40 goal mark.
Everything he does is fun to watch. He’s a great skater and has a lethal shot, not to mention his vision with the puck. Without a doubt, he’s one of my favorite players on the team. Not only is he good with the puck but he is also capable of stirring it up and sticking up for his teammates.
It would not surprise me if he gets the A on his jersey whenever that may be. When all is said and done, I won’t be surprised if he scores 40 goals this year just because of how good he is.
