After a projected first two months of the Buffalo Sabres 2023-24 season, it’s time to predict the first half of December 2023.

Going into the month of December, the Buffalo Sabres are a projected 14-7-3. This is where the number of games start to pick up. In the final month of 2023, Buffalo will be playing a total of 15 games. With the number of games they have, we will be breaking the month in half.

So we will be starting on December 2nd and go until December 16th. For the first game in December, Buffalo will see the Carolina Hurricanes on the road. I got the Sabres losing this one in a close game.

Buffalo will have to bounce back right away as they will be playing their second game in a row with the Nashville Predators coming to town. Even though they play the next night, the Sabres will bounce back in their home building. It will be a busy few weeks for Buffalo as they will be playing every other night for the most part.

They will host the Detroit Red Wings next. Once again, the Sabres will get a victory in this one. Buffalo will travel to Beantown for a matchup against the Bruins. I think the Sabres will get the two points in either a shootout or overtime victory.

Buffalo Sabres off to a projected solid first half of December 2023

Before heading out for a three game road trip, Buffalo will have two home games. The Montreal Canadiens will come to town first. The Sabres will win this one then they will welcome the Arizona Coyotes to town.

With the Sabres heading out for a tough trip, they defeat Arizona on home ice. After a nice mini winning streak, Buffalo will struggle for a couple of games. The team will travel to Colorado and Vegas where they will lose both games in regulation.

For the final game of the road trip, they will conclude their season series against the Coyotes. They will sweep the season series against Arizona and will head home with a victory.

  • December First Half Record: 6-3-0
  • Overall Record: 20-10-2 (42 points)
