The Buffalo Sabres 2023 Prospects Challenge is literally 24 hours away. So let’s get bold with the prospects in this one.

Most of these bold predictions in this 75 In 75 Series have been about the Buffalo Sabres projected roster, or those who could see time playing for the Blue and Gold. But with the 2023 Prospects Challenge among us, let’s make this one a little more unique and get bold with what the Sabres will do at the tripleheader.

First off, let’s begin with Matt Savoie and Zach Benson. Barring any unforeseen ailment between the time of this publication and tomorrow night, we want to see this dynamic duo in action often. And they won’t disappoint, combining for 10 points and four goals.

Savoie and Benson are more than familiar playing together, and that’s more than what we will see from many prospects they will face. It was a treat to see Savoie play well in the tripleheader last season, and this one will be Must See TV for Sabres fans looking to gain more insight on a pair of top-tier prospects.

Buffalo Sabres have a few prospects that will dominate this weekend

Isak Rosen is another one to keep an eye on between Friday and Monday. And like Savoie and Benson, expect him to pick up where he left off last season following what was a solid performance in the Calder Cup Playoffs. Rosen will also tack on a pair of goals and five total points in this one, showing that he at least deserves an honorable mention and an extended look in camp.

Overall, with the best prospects pool among the six teams competing in the tripleheader, the Buffalo Sabres will likely see more than just Savoie, Benson, and Rosen take over. Nikita Novikov and Calder Cup Playoff revelation Zach Metsa will pace the defensive rotation, combining for six points while showing off some incredible defense.

Of course, there will be a few unheralded prospects making their respective presence known. And one of the “unknowns” will also jump out and enjoy a four-plus point effort as the Prospects Challenge wears on.
