Last year, the Buffalo Sabres and Minnesota Wild gave fans an entertaining two game series. That’s why Zach’s looking forward to this game.

Going back to last year, the Buffalo Sabres played in some very entertaining games. Back and forths, comebacks, everything in between. However, the Sabres played a two game series against the Minnesota Wild and both games were must see TV.

In Buffalo, the Sabres won in the dying seconds of overtime after a back and forth affair. Then in St. Paul, the Wild won it in a shootout after a low scoring but entertaining battle. For my next installment of games I’m looking forward to, I’m very excited for this matchup in February.

Will the Buffalo Sabres and Minnesota Wild give us another round of must-see TV?

It’s a shame that both of these teams are in different conferences because what they did last year was something that really stood out to me. Each game had a playoff feel to it and it was one of those games where you did not want to miss for one second.

It will also be the first time Jordan Greenway will face off against his former team. Greenway came over from Minnesota at the trade deadline last year to make the Sabres more physical and tough. Don Granato coached Greenway and was very high on him.

I know there are some fans who are split on Greenway, but I think he can be a solid depth guy for Buffalo and he will be there in case a team tries to push the Sabres around. But I’m sure Greenway will be looking forward to playing against his old team.

The main reason why I’m looking forward to this game is just because I want more of last season. I know it could be a one year thing, but after what I witnessed in both of those games, I am hoping it continues this season. The two games played last year were so entertaining for everyone and we can only hope it spills over to this season.
