After getting back to .500, the Buffalo Sabres will look to get over the .500 mark for the first time as the 2023-24 season continues into a new week.

Looking back at Week 4, the Buffalo Sabres would look to start the month of November strong. They had a back-to-back against the Philadelphia Flyers in which Buffalo won the first meeting but lost the second one.

To close out the week, they saw their most-hated rivals for the first of four meetings. In what was a very entertaining, back-and-forth meeting, the Sabres emerged victorious as they beat the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Looking ahead to this week, Buffalo will have three games once again. Up first, they will be in Raleigh for a meeting against the Carolina Hurricanes. In their last meeting against the Canes, Buffalo kept their playoff hopes alive with a thrilling victory.

Carolina is 7-5-0 and will present a challenge for the Sabres. Depending on which version of the Sabres we get, don’t be surprised if they somehow pull off the victory. To wrap up the week, Buffalo will have another back-to-back.

On Friday night, the Minnesota Wild will be in town. It will be an emotional night as it will be Hockey Fights Cancer Night. On top of that, the Sabres and Wild put on a show last year in a split, so I’m looking forward to see if that continues this season.

After the Wild game, Buffalo will head to Pittsburgh. As of now, the Penguins are struggling to start the season but if you’re the Sabres, you don’t want to be the team they find their rhythm against.

For my predictions, I’m going to be bold and say that the Buffalo Sabres win all three games this week. As long as they can play like we expect them too, I really do believe they can get six points by the end of the week.
