The Buffalo Sabres will look to have a better Week 7. Here is what lies ahead for the team as November reaches its second half.

It was a less than ideal Week 6 for the Buffalo Sabres. In the three games they played, Buffalo lost two out of three. Unfortunately for Kyle Okposo, the celebration for his 1,000th game was short-lived as the Boston Bruins beat the Sabres 5-2.

Buffalo took on the Jets in Winnipeg, and they would drop another one in a tough loss. On Sunday however, they ended their mini-losing streak with a victory against the Chicago Blackhawks. Looking ahead to Week 7, it doesn’t get any easier.

The Sabres will have a tough three games this week. On Wednesday, Buffalo will be in Washington for a meeting with the Capitals. After a slow start to the season, Washington has been getting hot. They are currently 9-4-2 and sitting in third place in the Metropolitan Division.

Week 7 may not be kind to the Buffalo Sabres

Buffalo will close out Week 7 with a back-to-back. Up first, a Black Friday battle against the Pittsburgh Penguins at home. The Sabres will look to make up for the loss Pittsburgh gave them two weeks ago.

The Penguins are 9-8-0 as of now and Buffalo will look to even the season series. There won’t be any rest for the team as they will travel to New Jersey for the second time this year. New Jersey got the better of Buffalo in their last meeting as they won 5-4 back in October.

New Jersey will have Jack Hughes back as they are 8-7-1 at this moment, but they are the biggest challenge this week for the Sabres in my opinion. For my prediction, I think the team will win two out of three games.

I predict them to beat the Capitals and Penguins but fall to the Devils on the second half of the back-to-back. It won’t be easy by any means of the imagination but it would be great if they can find their game and get a little point streak going.
