Buffalo Sabres fans should be excited over encouraging Jack Quinn news
Buffalo Sabres winger Jack Quinn delivered the most encouraging news yet regarding his ongoing recovery from an Achilles injury.
Jack Quinn won’t be returning to the ice in the near future, but that doesn’t mean the Buffalo Sabres winger hasn’t made immense strides in his recovery from an Achilles injury that prevented him from playing for a large portion of the 2023-24 season. The good news? Quinn’s latest update should give the Sabrehood something to get excited over.
In case you missed it, here is the latest post from X from Lance Lysowski of Buffalo News involving the 22-year-old’s latest update. And it’s one that will convince you that Quinn’s return is coming sooner than later:
Breaking down this latest post, it’s clear that we will likely see Quinn fully return to practice sometime during the middle-to-latter half of December, assuming there are no setbacks. This means Quinn will likely return sometime around the midway point of the season, or shortly thereafter; roughly early January.
Latest update on Jack Quinn should have Buffalo Sabres fans excited, but realistic
Despite the good news regarding Quinn, it’s also wise to refrain from expecting too much out of the second-year winger. We have seen what JJ Peterka has done this year, but with Quinn coming off of a serious injury, he likely won’t replicate Peterka’s surge until he’s at least re-acclimated in a game setting. But that’s okay, as Quinn’s presence will provide eventual stability to the Blue and Gold’s offense.
Look for the Buffalo Sabres to limit Quinn’s ice time during the early stages of his comeback in a game situation, and gradually increase it as he shows himself capable in such a setting. Therefore, cautious optimism is still a necessity, but nonetheless, it is highly encouraging news regarding the latest step in Quinn’s recovery on all fronts.
