The Buffalo Sabres have four games on the slate for their 2023-24 season. Here is a look at each and of what to expect as they head into midseason.

The Buffalo Sabres had a rough Week 9. Despite almost fighting their way back from a 4-0 deficit at home against the Detroit Red Wings, Buffalo dropped that one 5-3. Up next, they faced off against the Boston Bruins in Boston.

This team is consistently inconsistent, because they beat the Bruins on the road with a 3-1 victory. Once again, the Sabres found themselves trailing 2-0 to the Montreal Canadiens. Even with 48 shots, Buffalo lost a tough game in the shootout.

So as we embark on Week 10 of the season, Buffalo will face all Western Conference teams. Before they head out west for a three-game road trip, the Sabres will host the Arizona Coyotes tonight. The Coyotes are having a good season so far and even with being young, they have tons of talent like the Sabres.

The next time we see Buffalo in action, they will be on national television as the Colorado Avalanche will be hosting them. Last time these teams saw each other, the Sabres recorded a shutout after a strong performance from Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

Buffalo Sabres Week 10 slate features an all Western Conference lineup

As everyone expected, the Avalanche are first in their division and will most definitely present a challenge for Buffalo. To close out the trip, the Sabres will have a back-to-back. First up, a meeting with old friend Jack Eichel and the Vegas Golden Knights.

For some reason, Buffalo plays pretty well against the elite teams of the NHL. With that being said, they are playing the defending Stanley Cup champions, so we will see how they do against Eichel and company.

The final game on the trip, another tilt against the Coyotes. After being on the road in Arizona, the Sabres will be on home ice for five of their last seven games in the month of December. For my prediction, I think Buffalo will split the week with two wins and two losses.
