Josh Doan - Jiri Kulich - Jack Quinn

In the first two games, there hasn't been too much to be disappointed about, but the line of Josh Doan, Jiri Kulich, and Jack Quinn left something to be desired. This line has been together for most of training camp and were kept together for the first game against the Blue Jackets, but had only one goal, which was an empty net goal by Jack Quinn.

This is the one line that is probably the biggest unknown entering this season, as the ceiling is so high for these three players. Kulich is entering his second full season in the NHL after 24 points last season, while Doan is looking to make a great first impression after the Sabres traded for him in the JJ Peterka trade.

Quinn meanwhile seems to be entering one of his last chances to live up to the potential that many saw when he was selected in the Top 10 in the 2020 NHL Draft.

It will be interesting to see how long the coaching staff sticks with this line if they struggle to make an impact. This group can ease some of the concerns with a strong finish over the rest of the preseason.
