Buffalo Sabres Forward Lines
Line 2: Jason Zucker - Ryan McLeod - Alex Tuch
The second line, even with Alex Tuch, won't generate much fanfare but they are going to be steady for the Buffalo Sabres this season. They are going to be probably their best defensive forward line and likely will be matched up with the top forward line of the opposing team with the two-way play of someone like Tuch.
Line 3: Josh Doan - Jiri Kulich - Jack Quinn
If the Tuch line is the most steady, this group has the widest possible outcomes because they might have the most untapped potential. Fans have been waiting for a few seasons now for Quinn to break out and the hope is that this will be the season it comes together.
Meanwhile, Kulich is trying to build on a promising first season in the NHL last year with 24 points in 62 games. They will be joined by Josh Doan who joined Buffalo as part of the return for JJ Peterka and has made a solid first impression this preseason with three points in the two games he has played.
Line 4: Mason Geertsen - Peyton Krebs - Justin Danforth
The final forward line will be anchored by Peyton Krebs in the middle and eventually Jordan Greenway on one side of him. However, Greenway is dealing with an injury and has yet to practice yet so his chances to play Opening Night go down by the day.
In his place, the Sabres probably will look to Mason Geertsen, who has been a pleasant surprise the past few weeks with his physicality. The other side of Krebs should be Justin Danforth, who the Sabres signed as a free agent this summer.
