Two of the Sabres’ newest acquisitions may become free agents in July 2015, with Andrej Meszaros and Andre Benoit both set to become UFAs next year.

Meszaros will earn $4.125 million this season, with Benoit taking home $800,000. It’s too early to tell what to do with these two and if they’ll even want to stay in Buffalo or if they’ll be a good fit with the organization; see what happens and when the time comes next summer, decide then.

Mark Pysyk and Jerome Gauthier-Leduc are also set to become free agents in 2015, with both becoming RFAs next summer.

Pysyk’s set to earn $870,000 this year, with Gauthier-Leduc earning $635,000. Pysyk is one of the team’s up-and-coming blueliners who could see himself split this season between the NHL and AHL, while Gauthier-Leduc is a developing defenseman who will likely spend this season in the AHL or, if that fails, the ECHL.

There’s also newly-signed Tyson Strachan, who will be a depth defenseman for the Amerks this season ($650,000) and Drew Bagnall ($550,000). Last season, Bagnall served as the Amerks captain and is likely to set to serve in that role again this season. He’s a solid leader for the young team, but will they like what they see this season and bring him back once more?
