LEFT WINGERS

One position where the Sabres organization may not have a lot of impeding free agents is at left wing, with just two players on the list and guys like Matt Moulson, Marcus Foligno and Nicolas Deslauriers under contract for a few more years.

Johan Larsson and Jordan Samuels-Thomas are both set to become restricted free agents in July 2015.

Larsson will likely spend this season up with the Sabres, though he could see himself fighting for a spot and may end up in Rochester if that position isn’t open; the newly-signed Samuels-Thomas is a gritty forward who will add size for the Rochester Americans. Larsson is set to earn $763,333 this season, while Samuels-Thomas signed a contract worth $640,000 for the upcoming year.

Note: Matt Ellis has been designated as a left winger on some scoresheets, but since CapGeek projects him as a center, that’s where I’ve put him for this slideshow.
