Buffalo Sabres Players: The Skill Tyler Ennis Brings
One of the most versatile and skilled forwards that is on the Buffalo Sabres goes by the name of Tyler Ennis. Sabres fans have fallen in love with his dedication, hard work, and speedy skills that he brings to the table. But what do those skills mean for the rest of the team as a whole?

Tyler Ennis has been the most consistent scoring threat for the Buffalo Sabres in recent years. Having put up 20 goals three times in five full seasons and always having put up more than 30 points each season, Ennis has earned his spot as the top Sabres scorer recently.
With his petite size at 5’9, 169lbs Tyler Ennis has had to keep himself protected and fast in order to avoid getting destroyed along the boards. Despite his small size, his is a little spitfire of energy and grit that can be a thorn in his opponents side. He is all over the ice. Making offensive plays, back checking hard, and speeding his way down the boards in a way that is reminiscent of Patrick Kane in the Playoffs.

That is exactly what Tyler Ennis is to the Buffalo Sabres. He is their Patrick Kane. The small versatile forward that can score goals when needed, irritate opponents with his speed, and use his slick hands and creativity to create plays that everyone else on the ice will just be staring at, wondering what the hell just happened.
But the question still remains as to why that is so valuable to the current Buffalo Sabres.
Well let’s take a look at the kind of forwards the Buffalo Sabres have on their roster:
Nicolas Deslauriers (grinder), Marcus Foligno (power forward), Brian Gionta (playmaker), Zemgus Girgensons (power forward), Evander Kane (sniper), Johan Larsson (two-way forward), David Legwand (playmaker), Cody McCormick (grinder), Jamie McGinn (power forward), Matt Moulson (sniper), Ryan O’Reilly (two-way forward), and then there is Tyler Ennis who can play as a sniper or playmaker role. He led the Sabres in scoring last season and has been near the top of the scoring list for the past few seasons.
Ennis’ creativity and hands are his greatest weapons. He has the capability to make any play happen at any time, and on a team that only has one or two other players that can score goals consistently, having Tyler Ennis in the top six is one of the greatest things the Buffalo Sabres have going into next year.
Should the Buffalo Sabres need a sudden spark of offense, they can choose where Tyler Ennis is needed to make such a spark appear. He showed great chemistry with the likes of Zemgus Girgensons and Matt Moulson last year, but with the skills that he has, he may find himself on the first line along Ryan O’Reilly and Evander Kane.
He would be protected by the defensemen and Evander Kane and would have plenty of room to work his magic if Kane is being covered by the opposition well enough.
