Jacques Cloutier was one of the longer-tenured Rochester Americans goaltenders throughout history, having spent seven seasons with the American Hockey League club.

He appeared in 187 games, playing 10,945 minutes. He had a total 3.31 GAA during his time with the Rochester Americans.

During his time with the Rochester Americans, Cloutier also became one of the best offensive goaltenders in team history, notching eight points – all assists – between 1980 and 1989. He played for the team on two separate occasions – between 1980-1986 and 1988-89.

He was inducted in the Rochester Americans Hall of Fame in 2000.

The 1979 draft choice of the Buffalo Sabres would go on to play for the Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks and Quebec Nordiques in the NHL before hanging up the skates in 1994.

He was an assistant coach with the Colorado Avalanche from 1996 until 2009. Now, Cloutier acts as an associate coach for the Calgary Flames, a position he’s held since 2012.
