How do the Buffalo Sabres uniforms rank against the rest of the Atlantic Division? Keep reading to find out where they rank.

With no games on the Buffalo Sabres regular season schedule until October, it is time to talk about a new type of power ranking in the NHL’s Atlantic Division: The uniforms.  Many times throughout the 21st century, you would have seen the Sabres clocking in low on this list.

Their uniforms during the latter half of the 2000s were among the NHL’s worst if not the worst. Before that, they had a cool look going on, but it was easy to knock them down a few rungs because they lacked the traditional colors.

At the turn of the decade, things got better when they started wearing a look that resembled their classic 1970-96 design, except with a navy rather than royal blue primary color. Finally, the Sabres returned to their classic royal blue and gold for the 2020-21 season, which them catapulted them up the rankings.

Meanwhile, they face stiff competition from their Atlantic Division counterparts. Check out any NHL uniform ranking, and you will see at least five of the Atlantic’s teams in or close to the top ten. Especially in those rankings that value traditional uniforms.

So you can make the case that the Atlantic is arguably the NHL’s best-dressed division. They have four ultra-historic franchises whose looks have subtly changed. But you will also find newer teams whose looks provide more of a modern flair.

So where do the Buffalo Sabres rank uniform-wise against the rest of the Atlantic and can they call themselves one of the best-dressed teams in the NHL’s best-dressed division? Keep reading to find out.
