Rumor! Could the Buffalo Sabres have two new jerseys?

The Buffalo Sabres could be getting not one but two jersey’s very soon. Here is the inside scoop on the rumors and speculation. 

Remember the rumor floating around that the Buffalo Sabres were going to bring back the fan favorite black goat head jersey? Well it looks like it will be coming back but with another jersey as well.

The NHL announced that teams could have reverse retro jerseys for this season and it looks like the Sabres could be having the goat head but in blue and gold. It might be pretty similar to what the team wore a couple of years ago but the logo was different.

New insights show us a lot about what the Buffalo Sabres reverse retro and third jerseys may look like.

As you can see in the tweet above, it looks like the reverse retro jersey will be just for this season and the red and black jersey will be the team’s alternate’s. I want to make something clear: All of this is speculation as of now. However, in the first tweet from Sabremetrix, it looks like the reverse retro jersey is accurate.

As you can see in the tweet above, it looks like it’s all but certain with numerous teams having their reverse retro jerseys being leaked but as a t-shirt. Again, nothing is confirmed yet, and these are all just rumors…as of now.

My thoughts on the jersey rumors, I love it. We got a small taste of the reverse retro’s a couple of years ago but this time if it’s true, the goat head will be the logo but in blue and gold. As for the alternates, I also love it.

As mentioned earlier, the black and red jerseys were fan favorites. As for most fans including myself, those were the glory years for the Sabres so they bring back good memories not just for me but for a majority of the fan base as well.

We’ll see what happens in the future but as of now, this is all we know. I’m dying to see what each jersey looks like assuming the the Sabres do indeed have two jerseys.
