3 – Jack Quinn scores 60

A little over a week ago, I penned three bold predictions for Jack Quinn. One bold prediction entailed Quinn scoring at least 60 points. And while bold, his preseason production gives me a reason to believe he can hit that lofty expectation if he stays healthy.

He makes quick decisions with the puck and displays incredible instincts, rarely turning it over. He’s also not afraid to try for big plays, logging 16 shots on goal in five games of action, good for 3.2 per game. Quinn also tallied two goals, giving him a 12.5% shooting percentage.

Overall, he had three points in five games, giving him 0.6 points per game. Stretch those numbers across an 82-game season, and Quinn gets 49 points. South of 60, but given his ability to acclimate himself to the NHL level, expect his points per game to increase as his rookie season wears on.
