Riding a five-game losing streak, the Buffalo Sabres now have a home game against a team they already took a W against earlier this year.

The Buffalo Sabres have an opportunity to snap their losing streak tonight against a familiar opponent in the Vancouver Canucks. Less than one month ago on October 22nd, the Sabres beat their expansion brethren 5-1, and the game, for the most part, wasn’t even close.

And while they are still a banged up bunch, the Sabres may have another puzzle piece returning tonight in Henri Jokiharju. And if that is the case, it will move the Blue and Gold one step closer to recording their first win since November 2nd.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Canucks – Prediction

I’m not just predicting your Buffalo Sabres to win this one, I am further predicting another convincing win over Vancouver. Perhaps it won’t be 5-1, since the Sabres have stagnated in the goal-scoring department, but nonetheless, look for a two-goal win here as the Sabres get back on track following nearly two weeks of losing.

Look for a home win tonight against Vancouver, and it could go a long way this week with the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs up next on the slate. Sometimes, a team just needs a momentum-booster and it could take them a long way.

Getting healthier on the defensive side of the puck always helps, and although the Sabres now have a couple of minor injuries among their forwards, sound AHL depth could help them navigate this storm better than those stepping in for a decimated defensive rotation did since late October.
