Riding a three-game losing streak, the Buffalo Sabres hit the road to face the Nashville Predators. Will the streak end tonight?

The Buffalo Sabres are going through one of those streaks, but they happen to the best of teams. With a few adjustments to their game plan, the Sabres will find themselves back in their high octane ways and that could start tonight in a pivotal matchup against the Predators.

If the Sabres have one thing going from them, it’s that they play better on the road, where they are 11-7-0 this season. At home, their record is a measly 9-11-2.

The Predators also find themselves in a similar predicament as the Sabres, having dropped their previous two games following a hot stretch. Both teams are also evenly matched, with the Preds sporting a 19-16-6 record (42 points).

So will the Blue and Gold’s losing ways end tonight? Here are the odds.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Predators Odds – Game 41

Per Fan Duel, the Buffalo Sabres are +1.5 underdogs on the road against the Predators. The Over/Under is 6.5, and the Sabres moneyline is +114. The Predators moneyline is -137.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Predators Prediction – Game 41

The Predators can’t score, and they are 27th in the league in the category. They are, however, a good defensive team with a pair of goaltenders whose save percentage is 0.918 or better. Their goalies, Juuse Saros and Kevin Lankinen, have GAAs of 2.65 and 2.81, respectively.

That said, the Sabres picked a bad time to wind up in a scoring slump, as they will need to get the sticks going against one of these two goaltenders. But as mentioned, an adjustment or two to the game plan will change that, and the Blue and Gold have found way s out of similar slumps before, so tonight could yield similar results.

I’m still going with the Predators in this one, however, in a game that may follow a similar mantra as the Winnipeg game two nights ago. The Sabres couldn’t get it done against one of the best in Connor Hellebuyck, and neither Saros nor Lankinen will make life any easier. Buffalo shows some life, but they will fall 4-3.
