The Buffalo Sabres will look to extend their four-game winning streak tonight in a tilt against the formidable Winnipeg Jets.

The Buffalo Sabres fell to the Winnipeg Jets during their rough patch earlier this month in a 4-2 loss at the KeyBank Center. In that game, the Blue and Gold generated little offense as the Jets handed them their third straight loss.

Two weeks later, the Sabres find themselves on the opposite end of the spectrum, poised to win their fifth straight game. And it’s more than possible that it happens, as Buffalo has bested some of the NHL’s most talented teams twice over the past 30 days.

On New Year’s Eve, they took it to the Boston Bruins. And just three days ago, they sunk the Dallas Stars in a thriller. So can the Sabres work their magic again? Let’s make a prediction.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Jets Odds – Game 48

Per Fan Duel, the Buffalo Sabres are +1.5 underdogs on the road against the Jets. The Over/Under is 6.5, and the Sabres moneyline is +155. The Jets moneyline is -188.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Jets Prediction – Game 48

When you beat two of the NHL’s best – Boston in the East and Dallas in the West, you can theoretically beat anyone. The Jets (63 points) are currently the Western Conference’s second-best team, just two points behind Dallas, showing us that this is a team the Sabres can handle.

Winnipeg has also lost three of their last five, including a 2-1 loss to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. But it’s their first home game back from their five-game road trip, and few play as well as the Jets do at home.

Hot. Timo Meier would be a sound addition for the Sabres. light

Therefore, the Sabres are going to have some trouble in this one. I’m going to anticipate a close game, but all streaks must come to an end. In this one, the Jets take it over the Sabres by a score of 3-2. But let’s not get too discouraged, as I also see the Blue and Gold putting up quite the fight tonight.
