The Buffalo Sabres have five players seeking to win the Gold for their respective countries at the 2023 IIHIF World Championship.

With five players repping Canada, the USA, and Germany, respectively, Buffalo Sabres fans have plenty of options when it comes to watching their favorite players as summer approaches. And while we’d all rather see the Blue and Gold seeking a Stanley Cup, we can still get our hockey fix nonetheless by watching the likes of Alex Tuch, Peyton Krebs, Jack Quinn, Devon Levi, and J.J. Peterka.

So how has each player looked so far at the 2023 IIHF World Championship? Keep reading for a quick rundown.

How the Buffalo Sabres have played at the 2023 IIHF World Championship

Jack Quinn made his presence known yesterday when he iced the game for Team Canada thanks to an amazing goal during a shoot-out against Slovakia. We’ve seen that a few times during the regular season, and one came when he clinched a win against the Detroit Red Wings.

We knew Devon Levi could step right in and become a viable goaltender whether it’s in the NHL or on the international stage. He proved the latter was also true when he stopped 22 of 24 shots on goal to lead Team Canada to a win over Slovenia.

Peyton Krebs has just one assist so far, but we also know he’d rather help set things up as opposed to helping finish off scoring plays. At least that was the vibe I caught over the regular season.

In three contests, Alex Tuch has been the undisputed leader for Team USA. So far, he’s found twine three times, and it’s safe to predict he will score a few more before the tournament ends. J.J. Peterka has also logged a goal so far.
